off the Riverwalk dock? But it did! It sure did. And It all started with a
fishing trip too.
But then the story grew and grew until almost everyone in town was
talking about it.
Oh sure, Detective Wayne Simmons tried to figure it all out,, but let's
just say that he came up with a great big fat nothing!

It started with a POTHOLE. Oh, sure, that may not sound like anything special to you, but there
was something different about THIS particular pothole. It started out small, but then it grew...
and then it grew some more. Before we knew it, crazy Old Lady Hatch started saying that
the whole town was built over PIRATE fort and that the hole dagum street was gonna fall in!
We had to know for sure. Especially since the pothole opened up right at the end of MY
driveway!
The only problem was Mom! She said she'd have a hissy fit if we went anywhere near it.
But since Mom has hissy fits about lots of stuff, we figured it was safe... more or less...

It all started at the carnival, the Forth of July carnival, that is. The gypsy lady said the whole world was
gonna END! My best friend Jeff didn't believe a word of it. But I sure did A whole lot of other folks
did too. And that's not all she said either. Turns out, the gypsy woman stayed for what she called a whole
fortnight and she made other predictions too. Most of 'em came true, more or less. Still, about the world
coming to an end? Well it hasn't. Not so far anyway. Still, you'll never guess what she REALLY meant...
